Elevation Consultancy Training Limited trading as Elevation Learning (“Elevation Learning” or “we” or “our” or “us”) understands that your privacy is important to you. This privacy statement tells you what to expect when you pass personal information to Elevation Learning.

It applies when you:

  • apply to attend a training programme or event;
  • contact us;
  • participate in a survey; and
  • communicate with us about our services.

Visit our website

When you visit our website (the “site”) aggregated and anonymised data is processed by Google Analytics to help us understand user behaviour in order to measure interest in specific areas and information posted on the site. Elevation Learning also uses information collected from cookies and IP addresses to improve the user experience.

How cookies are used

Elevation Learning uses a single supplier who sets cookies on the site on our behalf in order to deliver the services that they are providing. These are third party cookies set for UK users of the site. We have provided a description of the cookies and what they are used for below:

(a) Google Analytics: the first cookie provides anonymised statistical information to Elevation Learning about visits to this website which enables us to track volume of usage on the website and helps us to improve the services we provide to users; and

(b )the second cookie recognises a user after they have completed a download form. This allows users to view as many protected documents as they wish without the completion of additional forms.

When you register to download information we retain your contact details so that we can alert you in future when we are publishing content or hosting an event we believe may be of interest to you.

Apply to attend a training programme or event

When you apply to attend a training programme or event, we retain your contact details for administrative purposes to ensure you have all the information you need and that we can alert you should the timing or venue have to change. We may also use your contact details to inform you about future training programmes or events that you may be interested in.

Contacting us

When you contact us we retain your contact details so that we can alert you in future when we are publishing content or hosting an event we believe may be of interest to you.

Participate in a survey

If you participate in a survey, all of our research results are reported as totals or in other aggregated form; no information about you as an individual respondent is made public.

Communicate with us about our services

At Elevation Learning we strive to maintain excellent relations with both new and existing clients, so we may contact you to ensure we are meeting your requirements and offering the best service we can. To facilitate this we may record notes of communications with you. Such information is classified client confidential and not shared with any third party.

Information disclosed to third parties

Elevation Learning shall not intentionally disclose or transfer (and shall take reasonable steps to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) your information to third parties (i.e., persons or entities that are not affiliates of Elevation Learning) without your consent, whether for such third parties’ marketing purposes or otherwise, except as follows. Elevation Learning may provide access to your information to third party vendors engaged by Elevation Learning to provide services related to the site; provided that such vendors will first agree to maintain the strict confidentiality of such information. Elevation Learning may also be compelled to surrender personal user or client information to legal authorities without express user consent if presented with a court order, or as required or permitted by the laws, rules, and regulations of any applicable jurisdiction. Also, in the event of a violation of the Terms and Conditions or any other terms on the site including, but not limited to, a violation of any restrictions on use of materials provided in or through the site, Elevation Learning may disclose personal user information to affected parties and legal authorities.

Elevation Learning may provide links to third-party websites or information as a service to our users. If you use these links, you will leave the site. Such links do not constitute or imply an endorsement, sponsorship, or recommendation by Elevation Learning of the third party, the third party website, or the information contained therein, and Elevation Learning shall not be responsible or liable for your use thereof. Such use shall be subject to the terms of use and privacy policies applicable to those websites.

Security

Elevation Learning has implemented generally accepted standards of technology and operational security in order to protect information from loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Only authorised Elevation Learning personnel and third party vendors are provided access to this information, and these vendors are required to treat this information as confidential. Elevation regularly reviews vendor agreements to ensure ongoing compliance with confidentiality requirements. Despite these precautions, Elevation Learning cannot guarantee that unauthorised persons will not obtain access to your information.

Trans-border hosting and transfer of information

Information collected on the site may be transferred from time to time to Elevation Learning associates, or to third parties, located throughout the world, and the site may be viewed and hosted by Elevation Learning or its vendors anywhere in the world, including countries that may not have laws of general applicability regulating the use and transfer of such data. Elevation Learning ensures all international data transfers comply with UK GDPR by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions. By using the site and submitting such information on it, you voluntarily consent to such trans-border transfer and hosting of such information.

Children

Elevation Learning understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an on-line environment. The site is not designed for or directed at children 13 years of age or younger, and Elevation Learning will not intentionally collect or maintain information about anyone under this age. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from children under 13, we will promptly delete it from our records to protect their privacy. 

Access to personal information

We will confirm your identity and then:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • Tell you why we are holding it;

  • If you wish, send you a copy of the information in an intelligible form.

Similarly please contact us if you wish us to update or otherwise correct inaccuracies in your personal information.

Elevation Learning will respond in writing to Subject Access Requests received within 30 days. If we are unable to respond in 30 days you will be notified in writing requesting an extension. Elevation Learning does not charge a fee for processing Subject Access Requests in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 .
